What we collect

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, phone number and details about your property or project. We use it only to respond to you and, if we work together, to deliver the project.

Our Lantern Box intake and Property Feasibility forms are hosted by ClickUp, the project management service we use. What you enter goes to our ClickUp workspace, where we use it the same way as an email enquiry. ClickUp's own privacy policy also applies to those forms.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive (for example from a search or a link), roughly where they are (city or region, not exact location) and what kind of device and browser they use. This helps us improve the site. We don't use it to identify you, and we don't use advertising, remarketing or advertising cookies.

Google Analytics runs only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set and no visit data is sent. Your browser may still download Google's script, which does nothing without your consent.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies whose names begin with _ga. They last up to two years and are used to tell visits apart. Google processes this data on our behalf and may store it outside Canada; see Google's privacy policy. Your choice itself is saved in your browser so we don't ask on every page.

Website

The site is a set of static pages. Apart from Google Analytics, it does not load advertising or social media scripts; the social icons in the footer are plain links. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Links to other websites, such as the Canadian Wood Council, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Keeping and sharing information

We keep enquiry emails and form submissions for as long as needed to respond and for our business records. We don't sell personal information. We share project information only with consultants, authorities and builders involved in your project, as part of delivering it.

We reserve the right to use limited information about projects we work on, such as photographs, drawings, renderings, the general location and a short description, in our portfolio, on this website and in advertising. We don't publish clients' personal information or a property's exact address without permission.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for visitors in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
