We wrestled with the challenging design requirement to expand the office spaces vertically over the existing accessory wing of the warehouse and integrate the existing fin features. The addition was also larger than the ground floor resulting in a cantilevered structure in both directions. Rooftop access and mechanical requirements were also concealed in a new roof form. The project was ultimately abadoned but served as a useful exercise for renovation strategies.
