This project synthesizes a number of hidden mechanical and electrical needs into an architecture of sensory stillness. Float environments require a distillation of environmental stimulation down to a minimum where the body cannot hear, see, or feel its surroundings. Focus can then be augmented on an inner dream state.
Spatially, the procession of this design from the external world into the float pod is characterized by a gradual elimination of stimuli so that the transition is smooth. Upon the completion of the float session, a screen wall filters light as you proceed to reenter the public realm with heightened senses.
