The site has been designed to meet the needs of the local light industrial activity with minimal reconfiguration to the existing outcrops of bedrock. The building will be a pre-engineered structure to help lower costs while maintaining a durable finished quality.
We have rezoned this site so the development can effectively accommodate the overall objectives of Sudbury's official plan. The separately owned unfilled triangular wedge of land along Cambrian Heights drive was also acquired to provide a more efficient final configuration.
Parametric tools were used to fine tune the placement of the building and site features according to fluid cost estimates. This process significantly improved design and budgetary alignment. We also designed the project using virtual reality tools.
